KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 14 — A dramatic video capturing the terrifying moment violent storm winds appeared to lift a car and toss it into another vehicle near a toll plaza in Kota Damansara has gone viral on social media.

The footage, shared online at around 6.30pm yesterday, shows what witnesses described as a waterspout or freak whirlwind striking motorists queuing along the toll lanes amid blinding rain and howling gusts.

In the clip, the powerful vortex lifts the rear of a stationary car waiting to approach the toll barrier, shoving it forcefully into an adjacent vehicle.

Both cars sustained minor body damage in the collision. Subsequent reports indicated that no injuries were sustained by either driver or their passengers.

The incident unfolded during a severe evening downpour that battered several parts of Selangor and the Klang Valley, snarling rush-hour traffic.

Prior to the storm, the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) had issued a regional thunderstorm advisory forecasting heavy downpours, lightning, and gusty winds across multiple peninsular states heading into the peak evening commute.
