OSAKA (TR) – Osaka Prefectural Police have arrested a 52-year-old man on suspicion of robbery resulting in injury after he allegedly broke into a residence in Kawachinagano City, assaulted an elderly woman, and fled with her cash, reports TV Asahi (Sep. 12).
At around 4:00 p.m. on September 11, the suspect, identified as company employee Atsushi Tsuda, entered the 89-year-old victim’s home through an unlocked front door while the elderly woman was home alone.
According to police, Tsuda punched the woman in the face and bound her with adhesive tape. He then snatched a bag containing approximately 50,000 yen in cash before fleeing the scene in a vehicle. The victim sustained minor facial injuries in the attack.
Investigators tracked the suspect down by analyzing local security camera footage. Officers subsequently apprehended Tsuda at his residence in Hashimoto City, Wakayama Prefecture.
During police interrogation, Tsuda admitted to the allegations. “I was struggling to make a living and was desperate for money,” he told investigators.

大阪（TR）——据朝日电视台（9月12日）报道，大阪府警方逮捕了一名52岁男子，该男子涉嫌闯入川中长野市一处民宅，殴打一名老年妇女，并抢走她的现金，涉嫌抢劫致人受伤。
9 月 11 日下午 4 点左右，嫌疑人（经确认为公司员工津田敦）趁着 89 岁受害者独自在家时，通过未上锁的前门进入了她的家中。
据警方称，津田殴打了这名女子的脸部，并用胶带将其捆绑。随后，他抢走了一个装有约5万日元现金的包，然后驾车逃离现场。受害者在袭击中面部受轻伤。
调查人员通过分析当地监控录像追踪到了嫌疑人。随后，警方在和歌山县桥本市的住所逮捕了津田。
在警方审讯中，津田承认了这些指控。“我当时生活拮据，急需用钱，”他告诉调查人员。
