SoftBank Hawks pitcher, 19, accused of knife threat and assault at ex-girlfriend’s apartment

FUKUOKA (TR) – A 19-year-old pitcher for the Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks is facing a police investigation after allegedly breaking into his ex-girlfriend’s apartment, wielding a kitchen knife, and assaulting both her and a male guest.

The incident involving Taito Murakami occurred on the afternoon of July 4, just one day after he and his former girlfriend, referred to as “A-ko,” ended their relationship.

According to an interview with the male victim published by weekly tabloid Shukan Bunshun (Sep. 19), he was visiting A-ko’s apartment to console her following the breakup. Their conversation was suddenly interrupted when Murakami entered the apartment unannounced using an unreturned spare key.

“Who the hell is here?!” Murakami reportedly roared upon entering.

Upon seeing the male friend, the enraged baseball player began hurling abuse. “Who the hell are you?! I’ll make it so you can’t walk down the street!” he yelled.

“I’m going to kill you”

The victim told the magazine he gave Murakami his full name and tried to de-escalate the situation, calmly asking the teenager to sit down and talk. The athlete, however, refused to listen.

Murakami then grabbed a kitchen knife, cornered victim, and threatened, “I’m going to kill you.” When A-ko managed to wrestle the weapon away from him, Murakami silently wrapped his hands around the victim’s neck, choking him before punching him in the face. A-ko also sustained injuries while attempting to shield her friend and break up the melee.

The male victim and A-ko have since filed a criminal complaint with the Fukuoka Prefectural Police’s Chuo Station.

Murakami and A-ko began dating in June of last year, but the relationship had reportedly turned violent prior to the July breakup. In February, A-ko sought treatment at an orthopedic clinic and was diagnosed with a crush injury to her left arm after Murakami forcefully grabbed her.

Despite the looming police investigation, Murakami made his first-team debut for the Hawks in August.

When contacted for comment regarding the criminal complaint and the allegations of violence, the SoftBank Hawks’ public relations office stonewalled reporters.

“As this is a matter concerning the privacy of the player and related parties, we will refrain from commenting on individual facts,” a team representative said.

福冈（TR）——一名效力于福冈软银鹰队的19岁投手因涉嫌闯入前女友的公寓，持菜刀袭击她和一名男性客人，目前正面临警方调查。

村上泰斗的事件发生在7月4日下午，就在他和前女友（被称为“A子”）分手后的第二天。

据周刊《周刊文春》（9月19日）刊登的对男受害者的采访，他当时正在A子公寓安慰刚分手的她。两人谈话时，村上突然用一把未归还的备用钥匙闯入公寓，打断了他们的谈话。

据报道，村上一进门就怒吼道：“这他妈谁啊？！”

看到那位男性朋友，愤怒的棒球运动员开始破口大骂。“你他妈是谁？！我会让你以后都不能走在街上！”他吼道。

“我要杀了你”

受害者告诉杂志，他告诉了村上自己的全名，并试图缓和局势，冷静地请这名少年坐下谈谈。然而，这名运动员拒绝听从。

随后，村上抓起一把菜刀，将受害者逼到角落，威胁道：“我要杀了你。”当A子设法夺走刀子后，村上悄无声息地掐住受害者的脖子，然后一拳打在他的脸上。A子在试图保护朋友并阻止这场混战时也受了伤。

受害男性和A-ko已向福冈县警察中央站提起刑事诉讼。

村上和A​​-ko于去年6月开始交往，但据报道，在7月分手前，两人的关系已经变得充满暴力。今年2月，A-ko前往骨科诊所就诊，被诊断为左臂挤压伤，系村上强行抓住所致。

尽管警方即将展开调查，村上还是在八月份代表老鹰队完成了他的一线队首秀。

当记者联系软银鹰队公关办公室就刑事投诉和暴力指控征求意见时，该办公室却对记者百般回避。

“由于此事涉及球员及相关人员的隐私，我们将不就具体事实发表评论，”球队代表表示。
