Two detained after KPDN foils 2,400-litre diesel misappropriation attempt in Senai

The Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Ministry (KPDN) successfully intercepted an attempt to misappropriate 2,400 litres of diesel during Ops Tiris 4.0 at a petrol station in Senai.

Acting on intelligence, KPDN officers discovered a lorry equipped with storage tanks and related equipment used for illicit diesel refilling.

Two men were detained, and various items including diesel, pumps, and fleet cards were seized.

The operation is under investigation for violations of the Control of Supplies Act 1961, with the seized goods valued at approximately RM60,660.

JOHOR BAHRU, Sept 15 — The Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Ministry (KPDN) foiled an attempt to misappropriate 2,400 litres of diesel in Ops Tiris 4.0 at a petrol station on Jalan Seelong, Senai, at about 2pm yesterday.

Johor KPDN director Lilis Saslinda Pornomo said the operation followed information and intelligence on diesel purchases suspected of violating the Control of Supplies Act 1961.

Enforcement personnel found a suspicious lorry equipped with a storage tank and related equipment, filling diesel directly into the tank.

“The lorry, four Intermediate Bulk Container (IBC) tanks, a flow meter, four pumps with hoses, two mobile phones and about 2,400 litres of liquid suspected to be diesel were seized. KPDN also seized 15 fleet cards and five receipts or invoices related to the fuel purchases,” Lilis Saslinda said in a statement.

Two local men in their 30s who were in the lorry were detained to assist investigations.

Document checks also found that the petrol station operator was suspected of committing an offence under Subregulation 12A of the Control of Supplies Regulations 1974.

Lilis Saslinda said the seized items were valued at about RM60,660 and the case was being investigated under Section 20(1) of the Control of Supplies Act 1961. — Bernama

柔佛州KPDN主任莉莉丝·萨斯琳达·波诺莫表示，此次行动是根据有关柴油采购涉嫌违反1961年物资管制法令的信息和情报展开的。

执法人员发现一辆可疑的货车，车上装有储罐及相关设备，正在直接向储罐内加注柴油。

“我们查获了一辆货车、四个中型散装集装箱（IBC）罐、一个流量计、四个带软管的泵、两部手机以及约2400升疑似柴油的液体。此外，印尼石油天然气公司（KPDN）还查获了15张车队卡和五张与燃油采购相关的收据或发票，”莉莉丝·萨斯琳达在一份声明中表示。

货车上的两名三十多岁的当地男子被拘留以协助调查。

文件检查还发现，该加油站经营者涉嫌违反 1974 年供应管制条例第 12A 条的规定。
