MetMalaysia warns of heavy rain and strong winds across Penang, Sabah and Sarawak

The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a weather warning for thunderstorms, heavy rain, and strong winds in several regions of Sarawak and Sabah until 11 a.m., and throughout Penang until noon today.

In Sarawak, the affected areas include Limbang, Miri, Subis, Lundu, and Kuching.

In Sabah, the alert covers the West Coast regions such as Penampang, Putatan, Papar, Tuaran, Ranau, and Kota Kinabalu, as well as interior locations like Membakut, Beaufort, Kuala Penyu, Tambunan, Keningau, and Tenom.

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 16 — The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a warning for thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds affecting several areas in Sarawak and Sabah until 11am today, as well as the whole of Penang until noon.

In a statement, MetMalaysia said the affected areas in Sarawak are Limbang, Miri (Miri and Subis), and Kuching (Lundu and Kuching).
