Ibaraki man accused of murdering pregnant ex-girlfriend says he wanted to ‘erase her existence’

IBARAKI (TR) – A 29-year-old man on trial for stalking and murdering his pregnant ex-girlfriend in Mito City told a court last week that he committed the brutal crime because he wanted to “erase her existence and hit reset,” reports Nippon News Network (Sep. 17).

Takumi Ouchi is accused of killing 31-year-old Haruka Komatsumoto, a manicurist who had recently opened her own nail salon. At the time of the fatal attack on New Year’s Eve last year, Komatsumoto had married another man and was five months pregnant.

During defendant questioning on September 17, Ouchi revealed that Komatsumoto was his first and only girlfriend. They met about three years ago when he was a customer at her workplace. After she ended the relationship, he became dangerously obsessed.

“I tried to forget her by throwing myself into work, but I couldn’t,” Ouchi told the court. When asked by his defense why he resorted to murder, he replied, “I wanted to erase her existence, go back to before we met, and reset.”

Hunted for her whereabouts

Over a six-month period, Ouchi relentlessly hunted for Komatsumoto’s whereabouts. In court, he admitted to being self-aware of his stalking tendencies, claiming he even researched the psychology of stalkers and consulted a clinical psychologist for two months. However, after failing to secure a psychiatric appointment due to a fully booked clinic, his frustration boiled over. By October — two months before the incident — he decided to kill her.

To locate his ex-girlfriend, Ouchi employed a chillingly calculated method using Bluetooth anti-lost tracking tags. He first hid a tag inside a stuffed animal and left it at the entrance of Komatsumoto’s parents’ home. When she unknowingly took the toy to her new residence, Ouchi gained her approximate location.

Because the tag’s GPS had a 10-meter margin of error, Ouchi attached a second tracking tag to a nearby vehicle he suspected belonged to her. When the tracking data showed the car traveling back to her parents’ home, he knew he had successfully pinpointed her address.

“I thought if I missed this chance, I’d just be going around in circles,” Ouchi testified. “I made up my mind to absolutely carry it out that day.”

Disguised as a delivery worker

On December 31, Ouchi arrived at her home disguised as a delivery worker. When Komatsumoto answered the intercom, he attacked her, striking her in the head. “I didn’t know if she was dead or alive, so I decided to use a kitchen knife to finish her off,” he told the court.

Ouchi claimed he was completely unaware of his ex-girlfriend’s marriage and pregnancy until he saw it on the news. “I was like, ‘No way.’ If I had known she was married and pregnant, I don’t think I would have gone that far,” he said.

Prosecutors highlighted Ouchi’s cold demeanor following the fatal attack. When asked how he spent New Year’s Day, the day after the murder, Ouchi casually replied, “Same as always. Stayed home, went out.” He also admitted to looking up and visiting a sex worker shortly after the killing.

When pressed by the presiding judge about his feelings toward the victim, Ouchi responded, “I am truly sorry. I don’t expect to be forgiven, but I want to convey my feelings… remorse, just remorse.”

大内拓海被控杀害了31岁的美甲师小松本遥，她最近刚开了一家自己的美甲店。去年除夕夜发生这起致命袭击时，小松本遥已经嫁给了别人，并且怀孕五个月。

9月17日，在对被告人进行讯问时，大内透露小松本是他的初恋，也是他唯一的女友。两人大约三年前相识，当时他是小松本工作场所的顾客。小松本提出分手后，大内对她产生了危险的迷恋。

“我试图通过全身心投入工作来忘记她，但我做不到，”大内告诉法庭。当被辩护律师问及为何诉诸谋杀时，他回答说：“我想抹去她的存在，回到我们相遇之前，重新开始。”

警方正在搜寻她的下落

在长达六个月的时间里，大内不遗余力地寻找小松本的下落。在法庭上，他承认自己清楚有跟踪倾向，声称自己甚至研究过跟踪者的心理，并咨询了一位临床心理学家两个月。然而，由于诊所预约已满，他未能成功预约到心理医生，最终导致他情绪失控。到了十月——也就是案发前两个月——他决定杀害小松本。

为了找到前女友，大内采用了一种令人毛骨悚然的精心策划的方法，利用蓝牙防丢追踪标签。他先将标签藏在一个毛绒玩具里，然后把它放在小松本父母家门口。当小松本不知情地把玩具带回新家时，大内就获得了她的大致位置。

由于追踪标签的GPS定位误差有10米，大内将第二个追踪标签贴在附近一辆他怀疑属于她的车上。当追踪数据显示这辆车开回了她父母家时，他就知道自己已经成功确定了她的住址。

“我当时想，如果我错过了这个机会，我就会原地打转，”大内作证说。“我下定决心，那天一定要把这件事办成。”

伪装成送货员

12月31日，大内伪装成送货员来到小松本家中。小松本接听对讲机后，大内袭击了她，击中了她的头部。“我不知道她是死是活，所以决定用菜刀了结她，”他告诉法庭。

大内声称，直到在新闻上看到，他才知道前女友已婚并怀孕。“我当时想，‘不可能吧。’如果我知道她已婚怀孕，我想我不会走到那一步，”他说。

检方着重指出大内在致命袭击后表现得十分冷漠。当被问及在谋杀案发生后的第二天，也就是元旦当天是如何度过时，大内漫不经心地回答说：“和往常一样。待在家里，或者出去玩。”他还承认在杀人后不久就联系了一名性工作者并光顾了她。

当主审法官追问他对受害者的感受时，大内回答说：“我真的非常抱歉。我不指望得到原谅，但我想要表达我的感受……悔恨，只有悔恨。”
