A former senior officer of the Federal Land Development Authority (Felda) is set to be charged in the Kuala Lumpur Sessions Court concerning the misappropriation of the Kuala Lumpur Vertical City (KLVC) project.
The charges, permitted by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC), will be filed under Section 420 of the Penal Code.
This charge is part of broader investigations into seven cases involving Felda and Felda Investment Corporation Sdn Bhd, focusing on suspected corruption and abuse of power in asset transactions from 2010 to 2020.
KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 30 — The former senior officer of the Federal Land Development Authority (Felda), who was previously investigated in connection with the misappropriation of the Kuala Lumpur Vertical City (KLVC) project, will be charged in the Kuala Lumpur Sessions Court today.
Based on a court system check, the man will be charged in Criminal Sessions Court 14 before Judge Suzana Hussin at 9:00 am.
Meanwhile, the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) stated that it has obtained the green light to charge the former senior Felda officer.
On September 25, MACC Chief Commissioner Datuk Seri Abd Halim Aman said the individual will face one charge under Section 420 of the Penal Code.
The KLVC investigation is part of seven investigation papers involving Felda and Felda Investment Corporation Sdn Bhd (FIC), comprising six new investigation papers and one previous investigation.
