On October 4, Rapid KL reported a disruption in power supply and train services on the Putrajaya Line due to a cable theft near the Taman Equine MRT Station.

In response, alternative train services and free shuttle buses, including eight additional buses, have been provided to assist passengers.

Technical teams are actively engaged in repairing the damage, with staff and auxiliary police deployed to manage passenger movement.

Rapid KL advises passengers to check their official social media channels for service updates.

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 4 — Repair works are underway to restore power supply and train services on the Putrajaya Line following a cable theft near the Taman Equine MRT Station, according to Rapid KL.

It said alternative train services and free shuttle buses remained available to help passengers get to their destinations during the disruption.

“Alternative train services and free shuttle buses are still operating to assist passengers, with eight additional buses deployed to facilitate passenger movement,” it said in a statement.

The service disruption was caused by a loss of power following a cable theft near Taman Equine Station, which was detected at 5.24 am today.

Following the incident, a train was stranded at the station, while technical teams were mobilised to inspect the affected area and carry out the necessary repair works to restore power supply and train services.

Rapid KL also advised passengers travelling to Sepang via the ERL from Putrajaya Sentral to use alternative routes via the KL Sentral or Bandar Tasik Selatan ERL stations.

Station staff and auxiliary police personnel have also been deployed at stations and bus stops to help manage passenger movement.

Rapid KL said it would provide updates on the service status from time to time through its official social media channels. — Bernama
