Jaya Grocer has cautioned its customers against engaging with fraudulent promotional posts on Instagram, advertising prizes such as gold bars and iPhones, after its account was hacked.
The posts, falsely claiming to be an "Anniversary Promo," directed users to a Telegram account.
The company clarified that they are not running these promotions and urged the public to avoid clicking on any links, contacting the Telegram account, or making payments.
Affected individuals are advised to contact their banks and file a police report.
Jaya Grocer is actively working to regain control of its Instagram account and will provide updates when possible.

The supermarket chain said the posts, which purported to advertise an “Anniversary Promo” and directed users to a Telegram account, were not published by the company.
“Jaya Grocer is not running these promotions,” it said in a notice on its official Facebook page.
The company urged members of the public not to click on any links contained in the posts, contact the Telegram account or make any payments.
Those who have already responded to the posts were advised to contact their banks immediately and lodge a police report.
Jaya Grocer said it was working to regain control of its Instagram account and would issue further updates once available.
“We are working to regain control of the account and will provide updates as soon as possible,” it said.
