National Resilience College to nurture leaders for Malaysia’s evolving security landscape, says Khaled Nordin

The National Resilience College is essential for enhancing leadership in Malaysia's complex security and defence landscape, said Defence Minister Mohamed Khaled Nordin.

The college, part of the National Defence Studies Centre, aims to improve understanding of national security among leaders in defence, security, and civil sectors.

Mohamed Khaled hopes the college under new leadership will continue to produce leaders proficient in strategic assessments and national security comprehension.

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 5 — The National Resilience College (NRC) needs to continue to be strengthened as a credible institution in shaping leadership capable of navigating the country’s increasingly complex security and defence landscape.

Defence Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin said the college is an important platform in enhancing understanding of national security and defence among senior leaders in the defence, security and civil sectors.

He said this in a post on his Facebook page after receiving a courtesy visit from NRC Commandant Maj Gen Datuk Saiful Bahari Zainol at Wisma Pertahanan here yesterday.

Mohamed Khaled said NRC is an institution under the National Defence Studies Centre (Puspahanas), which plays a role in developing strategic leadership.

He expressed hope that under Saiful Bahari’s leadership, the college would continue to be strengthened as a credible institution in its role of producing leaders capable of making strategic assessments and understanding the importance of national security and defence comprehensively.

Earlier, Mohamed Khaled, when receiving a courtesy visit from newly-appointed Puspahanas President Lt Gen Datuk Mahadzer Amin, expressed hope that the institution would continue to serve as a key platform in shaping strategic thinking and producing a defence leadership capable of overcoming current and future security challenges. — Bernama
