JAKARTA: Haze from wildfires has sent air quality to hazardous levels in parts of Borneo, Indonesian authorities said on Friday (Sept 4), as thousands were deployed to tackle the blazes.

The vast South-East Asian archipelago has been battling for weeks to contain wildfires and thick smog, which has been drifting to Malaysia, Singapore and the Philippines.
